Hong Kong
Hong Kong and Macau are awesome places to visit. This is not wikipedia you are looking at ;-) Been-there-done-that. One post is not enuf to actually share the experience at HKG and macau. As we landed in HKG and got some hkd $, the facilitator was waiting with a Oracle placard and guided us towards a bus :- and we were left to witness the neck-pain buildings, awesome infrastructure and the calmness of a Hong Kong morning....as we reached Le Meridian at Cyberport.
We checked-in, refreshed ourselves and left to "Central". Central is to HKG what connaught place is to Delhi. We roamed inside the IFC mall..had some snacks..the aalu-tikki (Hash browns) was good. The humidity was getting on us..but we were excited to see the new place..double-decker buses and trams..and the market place at central. We walked through the streets with see-this-see-that vocals. And finally decided to board a tram which showed Kennedy town..Its $2 for tram..we sat on the upper half of the tram and the ride was one to cherish for a long time. The first day tour was unguided and was indeed a good experience.
Had some noodles in a local restaurant and the experience to make them understand that we wanted "Veg" noodles was eureka-feeling. My knowledge in Mandarin is as good as their english. But the noodles tasted great. Left to the hotel as we were invited to a welcome reception at the hotel followed by dinner....
It was after dinner that we left to see the night life. Meet in person to know what we did..coz this is a friend-family-blog ;-). Next day we left for Macau Island....wait for the next post...
